Without the dedication and tireless enthusiasm of our volunteers, BHCCC could not provide services to the community. Volunteers are an integral part of our organization, and their contributions are invaluable and much appreciated. From helping with food deliveries to helping serve food during the Soup Kitchen, BHCCC offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, companies, religious organizations, etc.

On-Site Opportunities

  • Unload & shelve food from the delivery trucks
  • Pre-pack produce bags for pantry distribution. (ideal for kids)*
  • Distribute grocery packages during our food pantry
  • Serve lunch during our Soup Kitchen program hours.

Monday, Thursday: Delivery intake.
Tuesday: Produce pre-packing and Pantry distribution

Soup Kitchen

Lunch Preparation
Tuesday: 10 AM – 2 PM
Thursday: 9 AM – 2 PM

Lunch
Thursday: from 12 Noon to 2PM.

Pastoral Care

Monday to Friday: Help with the provision of case management and pastoral care services to clients.

Administrative

Monday to Thursday: Help with administrative tasks such as mailings, data entry, filing and other clerical tasks. Please note for a safe and pleasant experience, the minimum on-site volunteer age is 16 years old.
